PRAGUE, Sept 1 (CTK) - Ex-premier and ex-chairman of the Social Democrats (CSSD) Milos Zeman is going to attack the public finance reform planned by the cabinet of Vladimir Spidla, his successor in both the posts, at an economic conference in Prague at the end of September, the daily Lidove noviny writes today.
According to the daily, the information about this has been published in the latest issue of the weekly EURO, which quotes Zeman's close aide Jana Volfova.
Zeman is known for his criticism of the planned reform. His public appearance may work as a stimulus for Spidla's opponents inside the CSSD and start another round of an internal party struggle, Lidove noviny writes.
"Milos Zeman has the potential to create an ideological stream around his opinion in the CSSD. He has a lot to say and I welcome the fact that he is going to appear in the public," Usti nad Labem, north Bohemia, CSSD branch head and Spidla's critic Jaroslav Foldyna told the daily.
