PETE Roa, the husband of actress Boots Anson-Roa, last Saturday was declared out of danger after undergoing a nine-hour operation on a fractured hipbone he suffered from a bad fall last week.
According to Boots, Pete, 63, had a hip replacement surgery at the Capitol Medical Hospital in Quezon City from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Pete fell down the stairs of their house, also in Quezon City, while he was on his way to the bathroom at 3:30 a.m. last Aug. 22, Boots said.
"I was sleeping when it happened," Boots told Inquirer Entertainment. "I took him to the hospital because he complained of pain in his left hip."
Three years ago, Pete suffered a stroke which paralyzed the left half of his body.
