POLICE have arrested a Taiwanese businessman after a hijacked shipment of batteries worth P3 million was found in his warehouse in Meycauayan, Bulacan, last Friday.
Senior Supt. Felizardo Serapio Jr., Bulacan police director, identified the businessman as Don Lim, 28. Lim manages a hardware and lumber store in Meycauyan.
Also arrested were Lim's seven workers in the warehouse.
Serapio said they had received reports that two container vans loaded with boxes of Eveready batteries were taken from Port Area in Manila.
The report said the two trucks hauling the container vans were seen proceeding to the Balintawak toll plaza and exiting the North Luzon Expressway at the Meycauayan exit.
