HE might have been absolved of complicity in the infamous escape of Indonesian terrorist Fathur Roman al-Ghozi, but Philippine National Police chief Director General Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. is still not safe from the President's axe.
In an interview with the RMN radio network, presidential spokesperson Ignacio Bunye said President Macapagal-Arroyo had yet to decide on calls to name a new PNP chief.
"We all know that this is public knowledge and that this has reached the President. Let us just wait for the President to make her decision on this matter," Bunye said.
