The just ended Southern Africa Development Community [SADC] summit in Dar es Salaam deliberated on a number of things regarding the region's problems, achievements, failures and opportunities.

One of the region's problems discussed was the situation of HIV/AIDS in the region and the extent to which it is decimating humans with little or no mercy. The scourge has already devoured over 10m people since first discovered in the 1980s, over one million only in 2001. …
