Israel Discount Bank (TASE:DSCT) earned a NIS 116 million profit in the second quarter of 2003, compared with a NIS 85 million loss in the second quarter of 2002.

Financing profit before the allowance for doubtful debts totaled NIS 801 million, a 30% jump, compared with NIS 614 million in the corresponding quarter last year. The bank's allowance for doubtful debts remained almost unchanged at NIS 232 million, compared with NIS 223 million in the corresponding quarter in 2002.
