SEOUL, Aug 26 Asia Pulse - The South Korean industrial community seems to have avoided a crisis as more and more striking truckers are returning to work.

According to the government, 61.6 per cent of the truckers returned to their job sites as of Tuesday morning.

The returns of unionized drivers were apparently boosted by the government's warning against "illegal" labor activities.

In the morning, President Roh Moo-hyun instructed his cabinet to crack down on the truckers' unlawful collective action that disrupted the nation's entire transportation system.
