JAPAN'S EDGE MARKETS NEW OPERATING SYSTEM
TOKYO - Edge Co. (TSE:4753) will in mid-September begin marketing an operating system (OS) that can be used without having to be installed on a personal computer.
When the firm's CD-ROM is inserted into the computer, a version of Lindows CD -- an OS based on Linux -- will start up. Accessory software will enable applications such as Internet browsing and e-mail creation.
