Tokyo, 22 August: A new computer virus is spreading rapidly following the widespread infection of computers with the "Blaster" and "MS Blast D" worms, the government said Friday [22 August].

More than 100 reports and inquiries related to the Sobig.F virus have been filed with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and its affiliate Information Technology Promotion Agency, the two entities said.
