UGANDA'S flower exports to Europe have declined since summer began in July, writes, Lillian Nalumansi.

The Uganda Flower Exporters Association (UFEA) executive director, Alasdair Macleod said last week, due to favourable weather in Europe, consumers now preferred to spend money on beaches, vacations or staying at home to look after their own grown flowers, rather than go to supermarkets.

"Because of the current good weather in Europe, flowers in home gardens have bloosomed and when you have fresh flowers in your garden, you do not have to go to the supermarket to buy them (flowers)," Macleod said in an interview at …
