This year is particularly special for the company as it marks its 20 year anniversary. Twenty years is a long time in the software industry and Alias keeps on going. A combination of innovative thinking, a customer base that extends from students to small and medium sized companies and the largest of global corporations, along with the knowledge that their software touches people in all aspects of day-to-day life drives the company to push themselves and the graphics market forward. With the 20 year anniversary celebrations comes the announcement of a name change from Alias|Wavefront[TM] to Alias and the launch of new products for the company. As the anniversary celebrations extend through the year and beyond you can be sure there will be more exciting announcements and that Alias will continue driving the evolution of the 3D graphics industry forward.

Alias solutions include the Maya[R] software product line for the entertainment industry and StudioTools[TM] software product lines for the design industry.

True to the goal of providing value to long standing and new customers alike, Alias continues to develop new products: Alias SketchBook Pro[TM], a sketching, annotating and presentation software application for the Tablet PC and Wacom Tablet was launched in November 2002. In July 2003, Alias ImageStudio[TM], was launched for designers who want to quickly and efficiently transform 3D models created in StudioTools, Maya or popular CAD packages into appealing, informative rendered images.
