* Boston's Northeastern University is offering personal coaches to help students set goals and manage time. Coaches can help non-traditional students balance family, jobs and school, and help new students transition from high school to college.
* Colorado College's on-campus childcare center has been going for almost 20 years and the school still sees the benefit in employee recruitment and retention. "On-site childcare is very attractive to young families," said Scott Young, coordinator of Alliance for Kids, a consortium of early childhood development agencies. "Employees are more likely to stick around if they have childcare they feel good about."
