PETALING JAYA, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is looking into venturing into West Asia and Southeast Asia as an Independent Power Producer (IPP), its chairman Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin said.

There are plenty of opportunities for IPPs, he said.

"We are looking for markets in West Asia and Southeast Asia," he told reporters after a ceremony here today for the official handing over of an agreement from PNB Cable Group to TNB.

Awang Adek said that TNB was still at an exploring stage for the overseas ventures but "demand was getting stronger" in view of a fast economic growth …
