Nursery and primary school pupils took to the stage with dance, verse and song as the annual music festival started yesterday.

The eight halls at Kenyatta International Conference Centre, in which the event is being held, were filled with 20,000 theatre fans.

In the Amphitheatre, Maseno Girls Primary School, Nyanza, electrified the stage with two powerful choral verses titled: Believe in Yourself and Fire, which urged the youth to be sexually responsible to avoid Aids.

Five-year-old pupils thrilled the audience with song and dance. They included those from Rozina Junior School …
