South Central Division. (Division News).(Brief Article)
Three states in our division have chosen to recognize respected teachers and pedagogues. J.D. Kelly, NCTM, retired from Arkansas State University, where he was a professor of music and coordinator of keyboard activities, continues to perform, teach, adjudicate and present lectures. He has held many positions in Arkansas State MTA (ASMTA) including treasurer and president. He was honored as the College Teacher of the Year in 1993. Kelly is a friend and mentor to many involved with ASMTA. His knowledge of the organization and his willingness to share his time have been invaluable.
