TOKYO, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Skylark Co. (TSE:8180), Japan's largest family restaurant operator, has announced plans to enter the U.S. market.
The company has set up a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary capitalized at US$1 million that on August 4 will open a casual dining restaurant in a suburb of Seattle, Washington.
The restaurant will feature primarily Chinese cuisine, and will serve customers within five minutes of their ordering food.
At 274 square meters, the facility will be slightly smaller than family restaurants in Japan.
