Singapore's Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Raymond Lim, will open the first Ethical Corporation Asia Conference in Singapore on September 23-24.
Responsible policy adoption by multinational and large domestic corporations operating in Asia is increasingly becoming standard practice as firms seek to implement higher standards. This is in answer to increased investor, customer and employee expectations of their ethical performance across their operations.
In response to these trends for better policy implementation and transparency, Ethical Corporation magazine will host the conference in Singapore, September 23 - 24 2003. The aim is to provide corporate managers, NGOs and government agencies with an overview of policy progress to date in some of Asia's largest and most progressive companies and organisations.
Speakers over the two days come from companies undertaking business in India, Malaysia. Japan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Australia and Singapore.
