The Musa Qala District of Helmand Province witnessed a mopping up operation launched by government forces yesterday.

The operations were launched after the centre of the district was subjected to a rocket attack. The rocket attack on Musa Qala was unexpected, as the district was considered to be a very peaceful area in Helmand Province in the past.

Haji Hamid of Musa Qala District defended the need for launching these operations and said that a number of suspects have been detained in this connection.
