FINGLAS in north Dublin is set to get its first hotel.

Dublin City Council has given planning permission to build a [euro]15m, 112 bedroom hotelon a one acre site on the junction of Finglas Road and the Tolka Valley Park Road.

The City Council has also given the green light for significant extensions to the BurlingtonHotel on Leeson Street and the Shelbourne Hotel on St Stephen's Green.

A director at McCabe Builders, based in Tallaght, said they will start construction on theFinglas hotel by November of this year.

The director said they intend to finish the hotel by Christmas 2004, so they can avail of tax incentives on the site, which they bought from the City Council.
