Tasty Tim's nightlife resume dates all the way back to London in the early 1980s, when he first started spinning 1970s disco at local gay venues Cha Cha and The Mud Club. After spending most of the 1980s behind the mixing booth at London's Heaven, he took over as face control manager at Kinky Gerlinky, the London nightclub famed for introducing drag shows into mainstream club entertainment.
