Kosice, 1 August: After going missing for a few hours en route between Toronto and Vienna, the world's most famous ice-hockey trophy, the Stanley Cup, is due to arrive in Slovakia for the first time on Friday [1 August].

The trophy, competed for annually by clubs of the North American Hockey League, should have been presented in Kosice on Thursday, but it went astray among the other luggage and is now expected to reach Kosice airport at 2 p.m. [1200 gmt]. It will be received by …
