GOLFING policemen, beware.
Besieged by allegations of widespread corruption, the Philippine National Police will place all of its men under the microscope in an ambitious effort to locate those with unexplained wealth.
"The campaign will cover any wealth that cannot be explained, including expensive shares in golf clubs," Director Ricardo de Leon, PNP spokesperson, yesterday told reporters.
De Leon noted that there could be officers frequenting golf courses even if their salaries and declared assets would make it impossible for them to afford the expensive membership.
But the "lifestyle check" of PNP personnel would not involve only this curious aspect, he explained.
