AN airline snafu denied Jennifer Rosales of the needed practice round, but she remained upbeat on her chances in the Weetabix Women's British Open which started yesterday in Lancashire, England.
The golf set and luggage of Rosales, and the bags of her caddy (Sam Hansho), and swing coach Bong Lopez went to a wrong destination while they were in transit from Paris, where they competed in the Evian Masters last week.
The snafu cost them their familiarization round scheduled last Monday as their luggage arrived only on Tuesday.
"We're just hoping that it would become a blessing in disguise. Jenny was able to get more rest in her hotel room since the weather was not too good anyway," Lopez said in a text message.
