MUMBAI: The needle of suspicion in the Ghatkopar bomb blast on Monday is on a maulana of the Alhe Hadees sect from outside Mumbai who is said to be actively involved in "brainwashing'' Muslim youths for jehad, sources said.

Youths largely from the outlawed Students Islamic Movement of India (Simi) were introduced to the maulana to seek a pledge from them to pursue the path of jehad, irrespective of the consequences, these sources said.
