Russian oil companies hope Putin-Bush meeting will pave wave to Iraq contracts.

Moscow, 29 July: Russian companies hope to receive contracts to restore the Iraqi oil complex after a meeting in September between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President George Bush.

Miarif Musayev, the Alfa-Eco representative in Iraq told Interfax that recently company representatives held a round of talks on supplies as part of Oil for Food contracts. He said that representatives from all the companies that had contracts in Iraq took part in the talks, including LUKoil, Stroytransgaz, Tatneft and Kalmykoil.
