Top commanders are planning to open a new general post at the Training and Doctrine Command in place of the Secretary General of National Security Council post, expected to have a civilian secretary general from now on in line with EU reforms

The upcoming Supreme Military Council (YAS) meeting of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) is expected to change the commanders of the Turkish Naval Forces and Air Forces, and strengthen the prospect for Deputy Chief of Staff Yasar Buyukanit to be the next chief of general staff.
