The Last Four Years. They Had Thought That Ngige Would Be Hostage to Power, But God Who Has Listened And Heard the Prayers of the Toiling Masses Whose Collective Wealth Were Being Shared By an Insignificant Tiny Minority, Exposed Them for What They Are.

The attempt to remove Anambra State Governor, Dr. Chris Ngige has raised a number of questions as to how the agencies that conducted or supervised the 2003 general elections performed their various roles. Chukwudi Nwabuko and Joseph Ushigiale x-ray the role of INEC and the Police in the light of these revelations

A lot has been said and perhaps written about the abduction of Anambra state governor, Dr. Chris Ngige from office and the failed attempt by his deputy, Dr. Okechukwu Udeh to take over power. It is now clear to all that Ngige was a pun in the hands of his erstwhile benefactors who 'helped' him to become governor of Anambra state.

Again, from testimonies and clarification from the principal characters in the Anambra coup saga and their threat to spill the beans on how the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 'won' the 4/19 election, it is becoming manifest that what passed for election on April 12, 19 and May 3, was a mere selection exercise, where the sole determinant was the quantum of money that was spent to compromise officials at all levels.

It is this cabal that has retarded Anambra's quest for greatness and stunted its growth. Incidentally the same dramatis personae have been around even at the time Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife was the governor. Under Ezeife, because there was no open confrontation with some hooded men, it could be said that the phenomenon of political godfather was unknown or could be said to be at its incipient stages.
