Multinational force urged to bring order to Ituri's Mahagi area.

Kinshasa, DR Congo (PANA) - People of Alur community living in the Mahagi area of Ituri District in eastern DR Congo have appealed to the multinational emergency force to deploy in the region to "ensure the security of the population and their property."

In a statement issued in Kinshasa by the community's chair, Medard Unyon-Pewu, the people also pressed for an immediate inquiry of the Mahagi territory to establish those responsible for human rights abuses so that they could be brought to book.
