Sometimes it seems as though the whole world is on the phone.

Oh, I'm not talking about busy signals, or voice mail, or the infinite loop of automated CBX menus and prompts. I'm talking about people walking around on the streets pressing cell phones against their ears as though it's 1959 and they're holding a transistor radio with the World Series playing. I'm talking about the guy in the SUV ahead of you clutching his head, waving his arm, and slowing down traffic. I'm talking about the woman in the grocery store squeezing the avocados with one hand and her Nokia with the other while getting the judge's opinion by remote feed.
