US Centcom Commander Gen John Abizaid, who held talks in Ankara yesterday, left Turkey this morning. It is reported that during the talks, the two sides agreed on new cooperation channels to prevent the occurrence of incidents similar to the one in Al-Sulaymaniyah, and to work in coordination to eliminate the PKK/Kadek [Kurdistan Workers' Party / Congress for Freedom and Democracy in Kurdistan] presence in northern Iraq.
