India's annual fashion week kicked off with a splash of colour as Bollywood favourite Rocky S unveiled his ready to wear and more exclusive diffusion collections featuring hot pink linen and ankle socks.

The Lakme India Fashion Week (IFW), organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), will showcase the work of 57 leading Indian designers over the next week with 35 shows and exhibitions at the sprawling National Centre for Performing Arts complex in the western city of Bombay.
