A 66-year-old Pretoria man described by police as "prominent in right-wing circles" and seven other people, including four children, were arrested on Friday for holding an illegal demonstration, police said. Inspector Percy Morokane said the eight were arrested while protesting at the corner of DF Malan and Van Der Hoff streets near the Apies River west of Pretoria around 6pm. They were displaying placards reading "Vryheid vir die Boerevolk" and "Mugabe and the ANC; One and the Same". They were approached by Tshwane Metro police, uniformed members of the SA Police Service and members of the police's Crime Combating Unit …
