According to "Jordan Times", the state-run Aqaba Railway Corporation (ARC) announced its intention to float a tender within the coming few months to construct a 22.5-kilometer railway stretch connecting Shidiyeh phosphate mines with the country's main railway network linked with the port city of Aqaba.
