BATESVILLE, Ark. (AFX) - Eastman Chemical Co. announced Wednesday it has sold its plant in Batesville to FutureFuel Corp.
The sale involves the subsidiary Eastman SE Inc. and its related assets and product lines in Batesville. Eastman says the overall purchase price was $75 million, plus a share of proceeds from biodiesel sales over the next three years.
The facility has about 400 workers and manufactures specialty organic chemicals products.
