SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - South Korean stocks started on a strong note Wednesday on hopes that North Korea's decision to come back to nuclear disarmament talks may help reduce regional tensions.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 3.11 points, or 0.23 per cent, to 1,367.66 in the first 15 minutes of trading. The blue-chip KRX 100 added 2.57 points, or 0.09 per cent, to 2,829.30, and the tech-heavy KOSDAQ index rose 4.39 points, or 0.75 per cent, to 590.49.
