SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Samsung Techwin Co. (KSE:012450) said Tuesday it plans to take part in a joint development project to make GE's next-generation passenger jet engines.
The South Korean company said it has acquired a 2 per cent stake in the development of the new engine led by the U.S. company. The GE Next Generation engines, or GEnx, are to be used in Boeing's B787 and B747-8 passenger jets.
