FORTY HOME RUNS HAVE BEEN HIT BY A PLAYER IN A MAJOR LEAGUE SEASON 259 times--and on 94 of those occurances, the 40-HR player failed to produce a grand slam. Below is a list of players who hit 40 or more home runs in a season without being credited with a bases-loaded homer.
