SAFETY STORY: New FS Dexter Jackson was impressive during recent minicamps. He covered a considerable amount of ground in coverage, and his enthusiasm helped increase the tempo and intensity of practices.... Coaches have spent considerable time working with S Quentin, Harris, who spent part of last season on the practice squad. The club isn't deep at safety, and Harris will compete against Justin Lucas and Mike Stone for reserve jobs. Lucas is a solid veteran, and Stone, a second-round pick in 2001, has been a disappointment. This will be Stone's last chance to prove himself.
