Gordon broke into NASCAR and immediately drew ire for beating all the old-timers without getting so much as a drop of oil under his fingernails--at least that's how the anti-24 folks see it. It's like the Diamondbacks winning the World Series in their fourth year of existence--they didn't earn it.
