Are the lives of two SPORTING NEWS employees--ones we all really, really like--worth risking for a great cover?

No, of course not!

And yet there they were, senior writer Paul Attner and photographer Dilip Vishwanat, working in rush-hour traffic one bridge over from a bridge in Trenton, N.J., with the words "Trenton Makes, The World Takes" welded into its side--the perfect background for our cover shoot with Trenton native and No. 1 Good Guy Troy Vincent (See Page 10).

As Attner, who wrote the story, says, "I never envisioned that such a simple request eventually would lead to having my life flash before me."
