"WE WERE not even noisy in the first place."
The surviving victims and witnesses told police that Arthur Lopez, a former doctor, shot his three tenants shortly after he threatened them with a gun inside his apartment on Iriga Street, Barangay San Isidro Labrador, La Loma, Quezon City at around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Lopez, 59, got upset and shot the victims because he thought they were noisy, said Charisma Ela, who was with the victims at the time.
"We apologized to (Lopez) even though we all knew we were not noisy at all," Ela said in Filipino. "We were just watching television and having a conversation."
The victims were identified as Carlo Magno Elamparo, 31, of Halcon Street, Quezon City, Oscar Vincent Cua, 21 and Jedan Mark Morana, 23. Elamparo died instantly, according to his brother, Edgar.
