Space Imaging Middle East expands coverage to Europe.

Dubai-based Space Imaging Middle East (SIME) has launched its European subsidiary, European Space Imaging (EUSI). EUSI operates a ground station in Oberpfaffenhofen, just west of Munich, Germany. The ground station will task and receive IKONOS high-resolution imagery for Europe and North Africa.

EUSI cone complements Space Imaging Middle East's coverage area. "We will have ownership of imagery spanning from the Arabian Sea to the Atlantic Ocean and from the Arctic Circle to the Saharan Desert in Africa," said Managing Director of Space Imaging Middle East, Mohammed El Kadi.
