State universities in Kansas have until January 2004 to adopt policies on sexual harassment as part of a budget cleanup bill signed in May by Governor Kathleen Sebelius.
The provision was inserted by state senator Susan Wagle (R-Wichita), who objected to the methods and materials used in an undergraduate course on sexuality taught at the University of Kansas by professor Dennis Dailey.
