SARASOTA COUNTY -- Dealing Beanie Babies out of his garage sparked the end of Alex Reece's career as an accountant and the start of something much more colorful and profitable.

The former Ernst & Young CPA now owns Toyopia, a funky toy and candy store scheduled to unveil its new prototype at Sarasota Square Mall today.

The store is decorated like a child's water-themed fantasyland, with floating cloud cutouts overhead, blue water and tan sand painted on the ground, a 12-foot aquarium at the entrance and a wooden pirate ship engulfing the cash register, but the business strategies behind it are all very adult.

Reece describes his venture as a three-in-one store with a "wow" factor.
