Foreign Minister: Political Consent Needed for Corridor No. 8.

THE SIX-month mandate of Italy as the country chairing the EU should see the implementation of the specific parameters in the construction of Corridor No. 8, said Bulgaria's foreign minister Solomon Passi in Tirana. He attended a meeting of ministers of the six countries which the corridor will cross. These countries must reach political consent on the general infrastructure strategy and joint steps to receive financing from the international financial institutions, Passi thinks.
The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Albania, Macedonia and Italy. Turkey was represented by the transport minister and Greece, by the Greek ambassador in Tirana.
