LAHORE, July 1 Asia Pulse - The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with a Chinese company, Uromqi Foreign Economic and Trade Fair Xinkyong on Saturday.
The MoU was signed by President LCCI Yawar Irfan Khan and head of the Chinese delegation, Li Shuangping. The delegation invited members of LCCI to visit the Uromqi Trade Exhibition scheduled to be held from September 1 to 8 this year.
He said that around 15,000 companies usually display their installs and this exhibition attracts more than a million people.
He said that Sino-Pak trade ties have a long history but existing volume of trade between both the sides is not encouraging. He said that Xingyong province, which is the neighbouring province of Pakistan, has only $30 million border trade with Pakistan, which should be improved.
