KARACHI, July 1 Asia Pulse - Pakistan Telecommunication (PTCL) has decided to hire a foreign firm for content filtering to materialise its plan of blocking pornography and indecent material available on the Internet.
Several firms have so far given presentations to the PTCL and one of them would be selected soon, an official said.
"Four to five firms have given presentations. We are considering all the proposals and soon would decide about that," said Zahir Muhammad Khan, Member Operations, PTCL.
He informed that the selected company would be responsible to block all types of pornographic websites and anti-religion materials.
