KARACHI, July 1 Asia Pulse - Progas Pakistan has awarded a US$38 million Engineering Procurement Construction Contract (EPCC) for its Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) project at Port Qasim to a Canadian and a Chinese firm for the second phase of the project.
At a signing ceremony here on Saturday, the Progas, formerly known as Keloil Pakistan-signed the contract with SNC Lavalin of Canada and China Shanghai Corporation for Economic and Technological Corporation (SFECO), Shanghai, China.
The first phase of the project currently under construction by Pakistan's premier engineering firm Usmani Associates will include 2,000 tonne LPG storage and a fully automated 12 filling head operation capable of handling 5,000 tonne of LPG per month at Port Qasim.
