BANGLADESH READY TO DISCUSS FREE TRADE WITH INDIA.
DHAKA, July 1 Asia Pulse - Encouraged by the positive outcome of free trade between India and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh is considering entering into a similar trade agreement with the Indian Government.
Dhaka has informed New Delhi that it was ready to hold formal discussion leading to signing of Free Trade agreement with India, media reports here said.
Bangladesh being encouraged by Sri Lanka after it attained better results in Free Trade with India, now seem to be proceeding to that direction but little cautiously, they said.
India's External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha will visit Bangladesh this month to take part in the meeting of Joint Economic Commission between the two countries. Discussion on FTA will not take place at that time ...
