THE BASES Conversion Development Authority will recommend to its board today the acceptance of Alliance Global Group Inc. as the winning bidder for its 25-hectare property in Fort Bonifacio.
BCDA chair Rufo Colayco yesterday told the Inquirer the bids submitted were competitive but AGI submitted the best offer.
"It's really up to the board. I don't want to preempt them but it looks like it will be an outright decision," he said.
AGI expects to generate P1.8 billion in annual revenue for 15 years from a proposed joint venture with the state-owned BCDA on a 25-hectare property in the former Fort Bonifacio military camp.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday, AGI also confirmed that it had submitted the "highest bid" for the property. It said it had offered a P2.74-billion package consisting of an upfront cash payment of P942.24 million and a guaranteed annual revenue stream of P1.8 billion a year over a 15-year period.
